HIRA Masterclass - Session 9 of 12

SETTING RISK MANAGEMENT TARGETS

Monday 15 February 2027, 11:30–13:30 (UK time)

ALARP, SFAIRP, tolerable risk, broadly acceptable. These are not interchangeable and your regulator knows the difference. Most facilities have risk targets written somewhere in a policy document. Few can explain how those targets were derived, whether they are appropriate for their hazard profile, or how they connect to the decisions being made in HAZOPs and LOPAs every day.

In this session we will cover how to set risk targets your organisation can defend to the HSE, to your insurer, and to your own board.

Welcome to this month's HIRA Masterclass. I look forward to discussing this with you live.

2 hours. Live. £25.

1 free place available for students, university staff, or anyone currently unemployed. A first come, first served. Get in touch to apply.
